My name is Lida. I am from Albania. I have been in America for 2 years and 6 months. I live here with my husband, my son, my daughter in law and my daughter. I have in Albania one son, my mother, one brother and one sister. My father died. I was a teacher in Albania in elementary school. I worked for 33 years in this job. I had a good life in my country, with my husband. Here everything is different. Here is very, very cold. In winter there is snow every day. In my country, it is hot and we don’t have snow. My country has beautiful sun. In Albania, I walk to visit friends, to go shopping, and for work. Another problem for me here is because I don’t drive. Here we have a problem, because we don’t speak English. We go to school to learn English but it’s not easy.
